We are working on a novel framework to automatically construct an
efficient and compact representation for complex scenes
from a collection of registered range and color images. Based on
the scene representation, the interactive walkthrough of
image-based complex scene without any restriction on the user's
views is fully supported.

We propose the body-based haptic interaction model that simulates
the intrinsic physical properties of the tool and virtual
objects during the haptic interaction and manipulation. We have
developed the real-time haptic modeling of deformable
multi-resolution Loop surfaces.

We are working on hardware-assisted (GPU-based) realistic fur
rendering with shadows, using multi-layer textures for real-time
simulation.

We propose a novel approach of 3D mesh fusion based on functional
blending. Our proposed scheme is both efficient and
simple to apply, with which users can easily construct complex
3D interesting models from available parts.
